Job description, responsibilities and duties

This person will play a critical role supporting the Head of IT operations being his backup and will have several of their own roles and responsibilities.The successful candidate must have the ability to take responsibility, coordinate teams and make independent decisions.

Their own responsibilities should be focussed on Business as Usual operations and also control the processes of our teams supporting the Bank information systems of our clients, hosted in the AWS cloud.

Deputy Head of IT operations is a management position, knowledgeable of processes, standards and financial principles that are generally followed in IT operation teams controlled in terms of ITIL.

Based on a Synpulse focus area, it is preferable to have experience in Insurance and/or Electronic banking


Responsibilities:


•Control service provisioning processes for appropriate quality, measured by KPIs according to contractual terms and SLA limits​
• Coordinating IT infrastructure and Application Management Teams during Business-as-usual activities ensuring compliance with approved standards. This is mainly a high-level intra-team coordination, but occasional micromanagement will be expected where necessary.values and parameters
•Participate on the design of processes, procedures and related controls for IT operation teams based on an ITIL methodology​
•Communicate with clients on a regular basis​
•Participate on project management, focusing on adjustments of solutions and services for existing clients and teams.As well as setting up completely new activities and areas of support for new clients​
•Design and maintain contracts and service catalogues​
•Participate on contract and price negotiation​
•Define SLA and KPI values and parameters​
•Help to put Compliance and Cybersecurity standards into practice​
• Actively participate on internal and external audits


Candidate skills: 

• Proven experience in the areas of IT management or service outsourcing management, preferably based on an ITIL methodology

• Experiences with SLA, KPIs and Reporting for IT operations support functions
• Experience in communication and negotiation with external clients
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders across various business areas within the organisation
• Great communication skills
